Your computer must have a sound card in order to send and receive speech. Most new computers have this facility built in. An external Sound Card can be purchased for those computers that do not have the facility. The platform is compatible with both PCs and Macs.
Why do Tutors need an Australian Business Number? Instant Tutoring pays Tutors under Contract. It is part of Australian Law that anyone engaged in business (Contractors) are required to have an Australian Business Number or have 48% of income withheld. You do not need to register a Business Name in order to have an ABN. A link to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) can be found under links.
How are the Tutors screened? Tutors are required to supply the names of two Referees including a present or most recent past employer who can be contacted for verification.
What happens with my personal details?Your personal details are only used for the purpose of undertaking business with you and providing the service. Our Privacy Policy gives greater detail and can be viewed in Policies.
Do I receive a Qualification at the end of my course? Presently, Instant Tutoring is not registered to provide Certificates, however we are negotiating to form partnerships that will allow this. .
